Staying current in the currents
I’ve finally put the suitcase back in the closet after the “Fall travel-fray” of long-term care (LTC) industry conferences, and I find myself thinking about how we can best disseminate the nuggets and lessons we’ve learned from our editors’ attendance at the various industry-sharing events this year.
In the always-on Internet world, news has become a short-lived commodity. It’s there, and then it’s gone. For busy executives, administrators and caregivers who are trying to keep up with the issues, trends and new ideas in the LTC industry, it’s easy to get lost in the news-mire—especially if you don’t have time to read the news every single day.
Prompted by feedback from our readers, Long-Term Living now offers a portfolio of free weekly eNewsletters containing articles and news stories written by our own editors and writers, tailored to your specific professional interests.
Calling all nursing directors and caregivers: Want to keep up with clinical best practices, national and state initiatives in quality LTC nursing care and the latest studies in dementia care? We have an eNewsletter just for you. We also offer eNewsletters in resident safety and clinical technology.
Calling all executives and administrators: Want to learn what the technology buzz is all about, and which technology investments could improve the business of quality care at your facility? We’ve got an eNewsletter for you, too; as well as eNewsletters in executive leadership and policy compliance.
You asked. We listened. All of our eNewsletters are free. Just visit our home page and choose the ones you’d like to receive. We’ll introduce more topics, as you request them.
Rest assured—As a digital-first publication, all of Long-Term Living’s content will still be published on our website at www.iadvanceseniorcare.com, as always. Our eNewsletters just make it easier for you to keep up with the news and in-depth articles on the topics that matter most to you.
So check out our new eNewsletter initiatives, and let us know what other topics you’re interested in, so we can add them in the future. I’m open to any conversation you’d like to have: email me at ptabar@iadvanceseniorcare.com. With healthcare reform, new payment models, the changing expectations of our older population and other forces changing the culture of the LTC industry, 2014 is sure to be an exciting year.
