Bariatric Lifting Systems
The Bravo Twin Cassette Bariatric Lifting System from ARJO is designed to lift and transfer patients weighing up to 900 lbs. The system provides greater resident comfort by using two lifting cassettes in tandem. The resident can be semireclined and rotated to a fully upright seated position using the battery-powered hand control. A wide range of sling sizes and designs is available. A bariatric resident can be weighed with the optional scale attachment.
ARJO also offers the TENOR Mobile Floor Lifter. With a safe working load of 704 lbs, it is a safe, dignified lift for heavier patients and is safe and easy for staff to handle and maneuver. The lift’s large casters and aluminum frame make it lightweight but sturdy. Electronic chassis legs for opening and closing provide maneuverability around wide chairs and in tight spots. There are no wires or cables to get in the way. The TENOR is available with a scale, and a variety of bariatric slings can be used with the TENOR.

Reclining Chairs
Invacare Corporation’s new line of healthcare recliners features traditional, deluxe, and clinical models. The IH6074A is a traditional three-position recliner that easily adjusts from a sitting to a full-recline position. The footrest folds under the chair, and an overlap tray is included.
The IH6065 Series deluxe three-position recliner features a Flex-o-Later seating surface that eliminates “bottoming out.” It is available in three sizes and a special drop-arm version for easier resident transfer.
The IH6077A clinical recliner’s trigger release instantly moves the chair from an upright to Trendelenburg position. Two folding side tables are provided to hold equipment. Nonabsorbent upholstery makes it easy to clean fluid spills. The entire line is available in three colors: rosewood, jade, and blue ridge.

Suspended Tables
T-fabco Corporation’s T-fab Suspended Tables can convert a dining room to a multipurpose room with the flick of a switch. To set up for dining, lower as many suspended tables as needed from their stored position under the ceiling. When the meal is over, switch the tables back to the stored position.
Because T-fab tables have no legs, residents in wheelchairs have easy access to the table. T-fab Suspended Tables are available with 60″-diameter, plastic-laminated tops for seating up to eight people.
Tabletops and undersides can be wood grain, marbleized, or solid colors to match existing interiors.

MDS Analysis Program
Plante & Moran Swartz Group has developed MxManage Real Time to optimize Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement and improve therapy efficiency. MxManage Real Time, an Internet-based MDS analysis service program, enables administrators to obtain correct reimbursement, provide the right staffing level, and help pinpoint deficiencies that can affect certification, as well as reimbursement.
Within minutes of submitting MDS data, administrators can review the current case-mix score, ADL scores, and reimbursement levels; evaluate therapy performance, efficiency, and use of optimization strategies; and review and compare individual resident data. Color comparison charts and graphs, such as QIs or the case-mix history over the past four quarters, can be generated.
