Social network for healthcare professionals launches

A new social networking site solely for healthcare professionals has launched to encourage online collaborations and connections among thoseworking in the healthcare fields.

The Boston-based members-only site is open to all medical and dental professionals, as well as medical industry representatives and vetted medical-based students.

According to WeMedUp's website, healthcare professionals can research and medical findings; review and participate in case studies; share ideas;  form public and private groups; conduct and participate in polls; post resumes and discover new job opportunities; find deals on medical supplies and equipment; and stay abreast of upcoming events.

In accordance with HIPAA regulations, all site members are required to keep patient information anonymous.
