Social media use triples among seniors
Is your facility on social media? If you answered "no," now is the time to re-think that decision.
According to a new Pew Research Center poll, social media usage among those 65 years and older more than tripled since 2010 when 11 percent used social media. Today, 35 percent of seniors 65 and older say they use social, compared to 2 percent in 2005.
In a previously report story about marketing your assisted living facility online, Seth Garber, CEO of Bild & Company, said, "If you’re not on (social media), your competitor is. It’s not the most important tool you should be using today, but it is important to your community’s future success."
Plus, it's free marketing!
