SNF sees $3.3M verdict in negligence case
Claims of bed sores, urinary tract and other infections, skin tears and abrasions, dehydration, malnutrition and medication errors have led to a $3.3 million verdict against a Colorado skilled nursing facility, according to the Pueblo Chieftain.
The sister of James Edward Sharon, who moved to the Belmont Lodge Healthcare Center in Pueblo in 2011, filed the civil complaint in 2013, claiming negligence, violation of Colorado's Consumer Protection Act and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
