Carpet Backing Technology
The Dow Chemical Company’s polyurethane carpet backing technology addresses assisted living facilities’ demands, such as durability, maintenance, and roller mobility, without compromising flooring design. The polyurethane molecular structure of DOW™ ENHANCER™ Technology allows the backing to absorb the pounding of foot traffic and support the heavy weight of furniture. ENHANCER also reduces the crushing and matting of carpet in high-traffic areas such as hallways and lobbies. The backing also impedes liquid and dirt from penetrating the subfloor, reducing the occurrence of wick-back stains and odors and allowing for aggressive maintenance programs.

Wristwatch-Like Alert Transmitter
Part of RF Technologies® Code Alert® Wandering Management Solutions, the CodeWatch™ transmitter is a small, lightweight device that resembles a wristwatch that feels familiar and comfortable to residents. Residents wearing transmitters have the freedom to move about the facility, yet remain safe if they attempt an unauthorized exit. When a resident wearing a CodeWatch approaches a Code Alert monitored door, the transmitter sends a signal to the antenna, an alarm sounds or the door locks, and the facility can choose to send alert information to a central location identifying the resident and/or monitored exit.
