Battery-Operated Scale

SCALE-TRONIX introduces the Models 6202 and 6202D Stow-a-Weigh Scales that mount snug against the wall, protruding a mere 4″ when not in use. They are designed for stand-on weighing, wheelchair patients, and will even accommodate patients on stretchers. They are particularly well-suited for high-traffic areas or where floor space is limited. These battery-operated digital scales automatically turn on and zero when the platform is lowered. Shut-off is automatic. With weighing platforms a mere 1½″ high, patient access is easy and convenient.

EzProducts International, Inc., has developed the manual digital EzPress™ and the automatic digital PopUpPress™ for applying labels to uniforms and residents’ personal clothing in eight seconds. The EzPress is a manual press and the operator must lift the handle when the buzzer sounds. The PopUpPress is automatic and the handle and hot plate automatically pop up when the application cycle is complete.

Performance Management Software

Color-Coded Monthly Pillbox

The MedCenter System features a monthly stocking design, with 31 individual pill containers having four compartments available for morning, noon, evening, and nighttime dosages. The system itself is a visual cue. It is large enough to be noticed by the user, but not so large as to clutter a countertop or bureau. Each dated pillbox has red and green color coding—green indicates pills are to be taken, and once emptied, the pillbox is turned upside down with the red end showing. This allows users and caregivers to verify compliance at a glance.

Standing Lift

SureHands® Active stand-assist lift is designed for users who can stand but have difficulty getting up and down from a seated position. Clothing can be easily removed as the sling supporting the back and upper body lifts the user into a semi-standing position. Risk Tracking Software

LTC Alliance’s Risk Tracker 2.1 is a software program designed to help healthcare organizations—including skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, independent living facilities, and retirement communities—evaluate and track their risk exposure throughout the organization. The program allows for in-depth tracking and trending of quality and risk data using drop-down menus with previously configured high-risk indicators. It also offers the facility the opportunity to configure new indicators to track additional information as desired. Users may set up a single facility or multiple facilities within the organization. Specific locations within a facility (units, wings, floors) may be configured.

Cleaner/Degreaser

Standing Frame With Tray

Altimate Medical has added the redesigned Shadow Tray option to its EasyStand Evolv standing frame. The Shadow Tray follows and supports the user as he or she rises from sitting to standing.
