Post-acute provider expands to home health care

LifeCare Holdings, LLC plans to acquire Haven Home Health, LLC as part of an ongoing effort to expand its post-acute service offerings.

LifeCare specializes in the treatment of chronically ill and medically complex patients. The company, based in Plano, Texas, also operates LifeCare Hospitals and has been investing in intermediate skilled nursing, transitional care and behavioral health services.

Douglas, Chairman and CEO of LifeCare Holdings in a press release.

Haven Home Health is a home healthcare provider with five locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, area.

The acquisition is expected to close in the second quarter, pending regulatory approval and closing conditions.
