P&G’s Spic and Span wins IEHA’s first seal of approval for assisted living
IEHA, a professional organization for directors of housekeeping and facility operations, has given its inaugural Seal of Approval for cleaning products used in assisted living environments to Proctor & Gamble Professional. The company’s Spic and Span Disinfecting All-Purpose Spray and Glass Cleaner.
The certification is the first from IEHA’s Field Test program, which gathers data from its members on cleaning products.
“The best aspect of the Seal of Approval program is that it helps our members identify products that meet a standard level of excellence,” said Michael Patterson, IEHA president elect, in an association announcement. “They know when they see an IEHA Seal of Approval product, it has been rigorously tested by our members and will stand up in the toughest of environments and, in this case, meet the stringent disinfection standards of an assisted living facility."
IHEA plans to expand the Seal of Approval Program beyond assisted living in the future, and perhaps into other subsectors, such as laundry and floor care, Patterson added.
