Partnership will extend bundled payment program to more SNFs
Cleveland-based COMS Interactive LLC (Clinical Outcomes Management Systems) is partnering with Darien, Conn.-based Remedy Partners Inc. to provide skilled nursing facilities the opportunity to participate in the Bundled Payment for Care Improvement (BPCI) program.
According to a COMS Interactive spokesperson, the partnership is based on the fact that Remedy was granted a general contractor status by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and has received in excess of 1,000 Letters of Intent from skilled nursing facilities in all 50 states for participation in the current program. Participants in this CMS-sponsored program include hospitals, physicians, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers and home healthcare partners.
"Participation in the BPCI program represents additional revenue opportunities for COMS customers and partners, and the Remedy team are experts at crafting clinical and financial packages," said Edward J. Tromczynski, COMS Interactive's CEO. "The program offers a complete solution for continuum of care providers to participate and thrive as part of an innovative bundled payment arrangement."
Gene Huang, vice president of business development at Remedy Partners, added: "COMS customers have already made significant improvements in clinical and financial outcomes by deploying the Daylight IQ Disease Management Product Suite. The (BPCI) program is a comprehensive effort by CMS to transition the current Medicare Fee for Service program into a value-based system."
