Our 2013 Leaders of Tomorrow awards
Long-Term Living is proud to present the five winners of our 2013 Leaders of Tomorrow awards program.
Many industry programs honor those who have demonstrated lengthy achievements in the field of long-term care, but who will be tomorrow’s leaders of policies, progress and trends? Our program aims to recognize and encourage these new leaders, who are so urgently needed during today’s challenges and uncertainty in long-term care.
The 2013 winners:
- Barry Berman, CEO, Chelsea Jewish Foundation, Chelsea, Mass.
- Roberto Muñiz, MPA, LNHA, FACHCA, President and CEO, The Francis E. Parker Memorial Home, Piscataway, N.J.
- G. Allen Power, MD, Eden Mentor at St. John’s Home in Rochester, NY, and Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Rochester
- Jane M. Rohde, AIA, FIIDA, ACHA, AAHID, LEED AP, Senior Living Consultant, JSR Associates, Inc.
- Phenelle Segal, RN, CIC, president of Infection Control Consulting Services, Delray Beach, Fla.
These five leaders will be profiled on our website from April 19 to April 25 as well as in our May print and digital issues. This year’s winners were nominated and chosen by Long-Term Living’s editorial team and its editorial advisory board, listed below, the members of which represent key areas of long-term care: academia, administration, clinical care, policy, technology and environments for aging.
This year’s honorees exemplify those professionals in long-term care whose visions are making a difference in their towns and states, while serving as exemplar models for others across the country.
We know that there are many more upcoming leaders in long-term care whose efforts and contributions to the field merit recognition and we look forward to honoring them in years to come. Perhaps you’ll be among them.
