CMS preparing home health rating system
Home health companies, dialysis facilities and hospitals soon will be subject to a five-star rating system similar to the one that currently applies to nursing homes and Medicare Advantage plans, the Assisted Living Federation of America is reporting.
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services expects to have the system up and running later this year or in early 2015, the organization says. Providers would receive an overall rating as well as a separate one related to quality and other measures. Ratings would be published on the Home Health Compare website.
