Aviv REIT inks $48M acquisition
Chicago-based Aviv REIT has acquired nine skilled nursing facilities in Kentucky and Iowa for $48.5 million, according to a corporate release. The Iowa facilities will be run by Trillium Healthcare, while the Kentucky-based facilities will be operated by a new Aviv operator, Providence Group.
The acquisitions add to Aviv’s recent buying spree, which included $239 million in investments in 2013, the company’s CEO Craig Bernfield noted.
Aviv owns and leases nearly 300 skilled nursing facilities across 29 states.
