MU Stage 2: Rule at final step before publication
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) submitted the proposed Stage 2 rule on meaningful use to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) this week, the final step required before publication in the Federal Register.
No estimate has been given on how long the review will take.
Another rule associated with the HITECH ACT, the proposed software certification rule, has not yet reached the OMB review process as of this posting.
