Moving forward on the National Alzheimer’s Plan
With the final National Plan to Address Alzheimer’s Disease (NAPA) in place, the Advisory Council on Alzheimer's Research, Care, and Services met to determine how best to proceed to meet the goals of this initiative. As reported by ALFA, the meeting covered a variety of topics, including community-based care, to help provide effective services and supports for people with Alzheimer’s.
According to the Assisted Living Federation of America(ALFA), upcoming tasks for the council include creating a web-based searchable database of Alzheimer’s research projects, creating a public awareness campaign to connect caregivers with helpful resources and continued research, supporting direct caregivers, and calls for more research.
