Merger creates largest nonprofit LTC provider in California

American Baptist Homes of the West (ABHOW) and be.group have merged to become California's largest nonprofit senior living provider. Their mission is to better meet the changing needs of the senior living market, according to a press release from ABHOW.

The combined company will provide continuing care, affordable housing, assisted living and memory care to residents in parts of California, Arizona, Nevada, Washington and Oklahoma. 

ABHOW is a nonprofit operator of continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs) in the western United States, and be.group is one of California's largest nonprofit providers of senior living communities. 

"We are merging to better serve older adults," said ABHOW CEO David Ferguson in a press release. "We believe a combined organization will have greater strength, stability, scale and resources to meet the changing needs of a growing senior living market."
