K4Connect, Kisco expand partnership for health engagement technology
Kisco Senior Living, a leading owner and operator of senior living communities throughout the U.S., and K4Connect, a mission-centered technology company creating solutions that serve and empower older adults and individuals living with disabilities, today announced a national partnership that will bring K4Connect’s smart home technology to more than 3,000 senior living community residents throughout the United States.
Through the partnership, Kisco will deploy K4Connect’s flagship product, K4Community, in 16 of its communities, across 13 cities including:
- Anaheim, Calif.
- Corona, Calif.
- Escondido, Calif.
- Los Altos, Calif.
- Orange, Calif.
- Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.
- San Rafael, Calif.
- Walnut Creek, Calif.
- Greensboro, N.C. (2)
- Raleigh, N.C. (3)
- Melbourne, Fla.
- Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
- Virginia Beach, Va.
K4Community integrates home automation, connected health and social engagement features, enabling residents to fully manage multiple aspects of their lives – from adjusting their thermostat and lighting, to connecting with loved ones and other community members – all via an easy to use application. In addition, K4Community provides community staff and leadership the integrated management and analytics tools that further enable the best in care and hospitality Kisco residents have come to expect.
Earlier this year, Kisco successfully implemented K4Community at The Cardinal at North Hills, its newest senior living community located in Raleigh, N.C. At The Cardinal, 79 percent of the residents are regular users, taking advantage of K4Community daily or multiple times per week. As just one example, within the first months of deployment, Cardinal residents have viewed community content more than 27,000 times. Not only do the residents find this more convenient, all the while fostering community engagement, but it also helps to reduce administrative burden and printing costs.
“It was an easy decision to expand K4Community across our multiple senior living communities, as our residents have not only successfully embraced the technology, but we’ve truly been impressed by K4Connect’s support and their mission-driven orientation to serve our residents,” said Terri Novak, Chief Operating Officer of Kisco Senior Living. “We see this as a long-term partnership–given K4Community’s ‘plug and play nature’ capabilities and their ability to continue to integrate new features and technologies.”
Said Scott Moody, Co-founder, CEO and Chief Client Advocate of K4Connect: “We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to help more older adults live better, autonomous lives through K4Community. As our largest multi-community deployment to date, this partnership with Kisco is a true testament to the positive feedback and benefits that we are seeing with residents and staff throughout all of our deployed locations. The Kisco team has been great to work with, and they truly understand the positive impact that technology can have on the lives of their residents.”
