GPO Managed Health Care Associates Acquires Navigator
Managed Health Care Associates, Inc., a group purchasing organization (GPO) serving healthcare providers and specifically long-term care pharmacies, has acquired Navigator, Inc. Another GPO, Navigator services long-term care facilities through its food program, supply contracts, and technology tools.
The company will continue to use the Navigator name in the marketplace and Navigator’s entire management team will be remaining with Managed Health Care Associates after the acquisition.
“This strategic acquisition of Navigator will allow us to help these healthcare providers improve their bottom line performance on food and other supplies,” said Doug Present, CEO of Managed Health Care Associates, in a release.
Navigator CEO Mark Eaton added, “In a very short period of time Navigator has been able to establish ourselves as a leading food service GPO in the long-term care space. By joining forces with [Managed Health Care Associates], we are now well positioned to continue that growth well into the future.”
