Five Star bets on wellness, rebrands rehab division
Five Star Senior Living is expanding into the wellness and short-term rehabilitation sector with a splash, and it’s not just about the on-site aquatic therapy.
The service offerings, expanded and rebranded under the name Ageility Physical Therapy Solutions, include customized plans for physical therapy and strength training, wellness education, fall-risk assessments, chronic care rehabilitation, pain management, speech and occupational therapies and other services.
Five Star, headquartered in Newton, Massachusetts, plans to extend the Ageility portfolio beyond its own walls by establishing partnerships with other providers, according to a corporate release.
“Our name change to Ageility Physical Therapy Solutions will allow us to expand beyond Five Star communities where we can apply our extensive knowledge and superior service in this niche market to more seniors,” said Denise Kelly, vice president of rehabilitation and wellness, in the release. “The Ageility name reflects our belief that physical strength and independence are important no matter your age.”
Five Star has more than 270 locations in 32 states.
