Firefighters heat things up at ALF
Every woman loves getting flowers, especially if they’re given by cute firefighters.
Firefighters with the North County Fire and Medical District handed out red carnations to more than 50 women on Valentine’s Day. The women, all widowers, are residents of the Brookdale Sun City West Sandridge in Sun City West, Ariz.
And the ladies were thrilled to see the young men.
“It’s making Valentine’s Day,” one giddy lady says to TusconNewsNow. “Up until this point, we hadn’t had any cute guys around.”
“We usually see them coming in with a stretcher so it’s nice to see them with flowers in their hands and a smile on their face,” resident Jane Speranske says with a laugh. “That’s good for them and good for us.”
This is the first time the firefighters called on the women.
