Experimental treatment shows promise for Parkinson’s

Researchers at the Cleveland Clinic have developed a new medication administration technique that is helping patients control the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease.

The system uses an tiny external pump to provide a steady dose of medication gel directly to the small intestine. The gelled form of the medication and the direct supply seems to control symptoms better and longer than pill-based medication, the researchers discovered.
