Engberg Anderson has developed a reputation for designing long-term care environments that adapt to the future, inspire caregivers and lift the spirits of those served. Our clients are truly our partners; with whom we combine innovative thinking and attention to the smallest details with consistent, forward-looking, evidence-based design. Long-term care communities are homes, not transitory places. We believe that these environments should reflect the familiarity and security that “home” connotes. Our presentation of creative options, combined with continuous interaction, communication and teamwork, ensures successful projects that improve quality of life and quality of care.

Will you be applying principles of sustainable or “green” design to long-term care projects and, if so, how?

At Engberg Anderson, sustainable design principles are applied to every aspect of our daily practice. We understand the benefits of environmental sensitivity, occupant health and productivity, and the increased financial viability green design adds to long-term care projects. Engberg Anderson is currently registered for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design® (LEED) certification on seven projects that range in scale from commercial interiors to new construction to entire neighborhoods. As a way to demonstrate LEED and Energy Star principles and benefits to our clients, friends and consultants, we are currently anticipating LEED-Commercial Interiors Silver certification for our newly renovated home office in Milwaukee, WI.
