The New Wave of Foodservice Technology in Senior Care

EarlySense expands into LTC markets

EarlySense Ltd, with U.S. headquarters in Waltham, Mass., is known for its monitoring systems within acute care. Now the company will begin to tap the home care and long-term care markets.

The company plans to provide remote patient monitoring solutions for older adults or those with chronic illnesses who are living at home, as well as those in skilled nursing facilities or assisted living communities. It will also launch a wellness consumer solution for the home that will provide an analysis of both health and sleep with data transmitted to a smartphone.

"We believe, based on market input, that these types of solutions will not only be used for self-consumer application, but also for health systems looking for solutions across the continuum of care," said Avner Halperin, CEO of EarlySense in a press release.
