Doctors setting up shop at CCRC
The doctors are coming to residents at one retirement community in Bolivia, N.C.
There was a groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday for a Novant Health family medicine clinic, the first medical building at a planned retirement community. Pine Forest Plantation will have a 50-acre health and wellness medical campus as part of the 2,114-acre site planned mixed-use development that will offer a variety of housing, dining, entertainment and shopping options.
“Pine Forest Plantation will be a well-rounded addition to the Oak Island community, and it is expected to attract residents of all ages,” says Tommy Sofield, land co-owner of Equity Investment Associates, in a press release. “Quality health care, parks, walking trails and lakes will create unique and attractive neighborhoods with future amenities including a town square with shopping, dining and entertainment – all within walking distance to many residential homes and condos.”
Austin Koon of Davis Moore Capital, a principal member of the group developing Pine Forest Plantation, the Novant Health primary care facility should be operational by late 2017.
Early reservations and pre-sales for single family residential lots and other housing are expected to being later this year. Pine Forest Plantation could have as many as 2,250 dwellings.
