Champion your leader during Long Term Care Administrator’s Week
March 13-19 is National Long Term Care Administrator's Week, so give your administrator a pat on the back, a high five or a thank you. Or, if you want to give them a shout-out online, be sure to use the #LTCAWeek16hashtag.
"Administrators are key players in the care team and are entrusted with the responsibility of caring for our loved ones," commends the American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA), sponsor for the week, in a press release. "They touch the lives of residents and families, and most importantly, ensure that their staff provides the highest level of quality care to a vulnerable population.
"To become an administrator takes a person of commitment and dedication. They must undertake a rigorous internship, followed by state and national board exams. Once they become an administrator, they must continue life-long learning to provide the best care possible in every situation. They are masters of multi-tasking, taking into account every aspect of a person’s lifestyle, not just their medical needs while building a sense of home and community."
ACHCA is a professional association for post-acute and ageing services administrators and executives through professional education and certification.
