Casey Kasem taken to medical facility
Former syndicated radio personality Casey Kasem, best known for his "American Top 40" show, was taken to a medical facility in Washington state yesterday to receive care, according to the Associated Press.
Kasem's daughter Kerri told a court on Friday that her 82-year-old father has a form of dementia as well as bedsores and lung and bladder infections, the news organization said. She and her stepmother, Jean, have been arguing over his care, according to media reports. The daugther was in court Friday to seek permission to have her father examined by a doctor; permission was granted.
