Brian Jurutka named new NIC president
Brian Jurutka has been appointed the new president of the National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care (NIC). Jurutka, previously a senior vice president of comScore, a digital analytics firm, brings to the firm an extensive background in data system integration and strategic partnership management.
“As we look towards the future, the seniors housing sector, like most other verticals, requires more and more data to help drive decisions,” said NIC CEO Bob Kramer, in a press release. “Brian’s diverse background and experience in partnerships, analytics, sales, and operations will help us continue to position NIC as the leading provider of actionable data for investors on the seniors housing and care sector.”
Jurutka will take over day-to-day operations, working to grow NIC’s expanding portolifo of services, which include the NIC MAP Data Service and several conferences. “I’m honored to be afforded the opportunity to help lead such a talented organization and to continue to help drive NIC’s mission forward,” Jurutka said. “NIC’s unique, trusted position in the seniors housing and care ecosystem has enabled it to establish 10 years of trended market fundamentals data, the most accurate and longest data set available in the space. These data, as part of the NIC MAP Data Service, have helped provide the transparency necessary to establish seniors housing as a core investment property type.”
Pamela Tabar was editor-in-chief of I Advance Senior Care from 2013-2018. She has worked as a writer and editor for healthcare business media since 1998, including as News Editor of Healthcare Informatics. She has a master’s degree in journalism from Kent State University and a master’s degree in English from the University of York, England.
