Benchmark Senior Living creates new VP of sales and operations
Benchmark Senior Living has created a new executive vice president of sales and operations to focus on the customer experience before–and after the sale.
Jayne Sallerson has been appointed to the newly-created position as part of a larger effort to adopt a customer-centered approach to sales beginning with a person's first contact with a Benhmark community.
"In the senior housing industry, sales and operations are traditionally managed by two different leaders," says Stephanie Handelson, Benchmark's president and chief operating officer. "This newly-created position to oversee both functions will help ensure consistency in the customer experience across all touchpoints, from initial contact through the entire stay at our communities. It will also support a more seamless transfer of what we learned about the customer and the trust we have earned throughout the sales process to the associates who will be caring for the residents."
Sallerson currently serves as chief operating officer of Sherpa, the senior living sales conversion and CRM system. She previously worked for Emeritus Senior LIving and Summerville Senior Living. Sallerson's appointment at Benchmark is effective Aug. 22.
Benchmark Senior Living operates 53 senior living communities and offers independent living, assisted living, memory care, rehabilitation services and skilled nursing in New England.
