AT&T launches remote monitoring service
As more seniors hope to remain in their own homes as they age, AT&T announced its plans to launch a new in-home monitoring service called Digital Life Care.
Built on its Digital Life platform, the new service will seamlessly connect family caregivers with their loved ones by providing customized alerts and real time monitoring of a wide range of activities including eating, personal hygiene, mobility and medication schedules.
"This newest service from Digital Life will help caregivers stay connected with how their loved one goes about their daily activities," said Kevin Petersen, president of Digital Life, in a press release. "Through state-of-the-art equipment, predictive analytics and ambient monitoring technology, caregivers can receive customized updates on the daily activities that matter most while allowing their loved ones to live independently."
AT&T plans to deploy this new service to customers in 2015.
