Argentum names new COO, restructures organization
It’s been a big week for the Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA). Tuesday, the organization announced it will relaunch the brand as Argentum. Today, it named Maribeth Bersani as the organization’s first chief operating officer.
Bersani has been with ALFA for 10 years and currently serves as senior vice president of public policy.
“Maribeth is a highly respected leader who has the expertise and experience to further expand ALFA’s culture of excellence in serving our members and their residents,” said ALFA President and CEO James Balda in a press release.
As part of a larger organizational restructuring, ALFA separated into distinct business groups:
- Advocacy & Public Policy, which communicates federal state legislation and policy to serve the needs of member communities and the residents and families they serve. Bersani will continue to oversee the department until a replacement is found.
- Programs & Services, which oversees events, publications and digital communications for the organization. It will be led by Nathan Nickens.
- Education & Training, which oversees credentialing, certification and training. It will be led by Paul Williams.
