The New Wave of Foodservice Technology in Senior Care

American HealthTech boosts revenue cycle management features

Healthland, parent company of American HealthTech (AHT), has acquired Rycan, a provider of revenue cycle management software. The deal will add Rycan's financial systems to AHT's long-term and post-acute care solutions, including claims submission and scrubbing, electronic remittance, claims denial management and audit management.

In addition, skilled nrusing facilities will be able to access Rycan’s solutions for estimating and verifying patient/resident eligibility to accelerate reimbursement and reduce the number of denied claims.

“Small community hospitals and skilled nursing facilities are being seriously challenged to find ways to improve revenue management and cash flow,” said Chris Bauleke, Healthland's CEO, in a press release. “Rycan’s solutions, either independently or integrated with solutions from Healthland and AHT, will provide crucial revenue cycle assistance to providers. Customers will have the option of partnering with a single technology vendor across a continuum of admissions management, clinical technology and revenue management.”
