AHT partners with COMS Interactive for combined clinical workflow
American HealthTech (AHT) is partnering with COMS Interactive to integrate the COMS disease management solution with AHT’s clinical system. Users will be able to access the COMS application from the AHT dashboard and perform deeper histories and look-backs, view acuity lists, check on scheduled tasks and see alerts on high-risk items.
“Even though our two systems weren't originally built to work together, this partnership empowers our mutual customers to do what's best for the patient. In this scenario, everyone wins,” said Teresa Chase, president of AHT, a wholly owned subsidiary of CPSI, in a press release. Both companies’ systems will be available to all current customers and will use a single sign-on technology.
“Providers can’t change the uncertainty of the future, but they can equip their nurses with the most optimal technology right at the bedside to empower their nurses with the knowledge and ability to manage higher acuity residents and more complex conditions,” said Jim Riemenschneider, co-founder and chief revenue officer of COMS Interactive. “Better care translates to better results, from lower hospital readmissions to improved documentation for better reimbursement, and everything in between.”
