ACHCA’s Grachek stepping down
Marianna Kern Grachek, CNHA, CALA, FACHCA, is retiring as president and CEO of the American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA), effective July 16. During her nine years as leader of the organization she has revitalized it and the post-acute and aging services industry.
“I’m immensely proud of what the ACHCA has achieved, and I am tremendously grateful that I have been able to play a role in its evolution and success as a professional society,” Grachek said in a release.
Sharon Colling, CNHA, CALA, FACHA, will serve as the organization’s interim CEO.
ACHCA represents administrators in the post-acute and long-term care fields and advances professional growth through education and networking to improve the quality of care and quality of life of the residents and patients they serve.
Sandra Hoban was on I Advance Senior Care / Long-Term Living’s editorial staff for 17 years. She is one of the country’s longest-serving senior care journalists. Before joining Long-Term Living, she was a member of the promotions department at Advanstar Communications. In addition to her editorial experience, Sandi has served past roles in print and broadcast advertising as a traffic and talent coordinator.
