Blood pressure app aids in treatment choices

A new blood pressure treatment performance app called bp Trax can help caregivers monitor a resident's reaction to different hypertension treatments.

Unlike other blood pressure apps that display continuous readings over a period of time, this app can track, analyze and compare a person's performance under different treatments. As a result, caregivers can determine the best course of treatment based on changes to diet, exercise or prescribed medications.

The new app, developed by DataDancer Medical Systems and iMobLife, is available for the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad.
