Long-term care well represented on top jobs list
Several jobs intersecting with long-term care appear on the U.S. News & World Report list of 100 best jobs for 2014. Pay, professional/personal life balance and good job prospects were the selection criteria, according to the media brand.
The list of overall top jobs included:
Number 4: Nurse practitioner
Number 6: Registered nurse
Number 7: Physical therapist
Number 8: Physician
Number 13: Physician assistant
Number 14: Occupational therapist
Number 17: Physical therapist assistant
A separate list of healthcare-only jobs also included respiratory therapists, licensed practice and licensed vocational nurses, clinical social workers, home health aides, personal care aides and nursing aides.
