New Pioneer Network executive director begins work
Today Peter S. Reed, PhD, MPH, took the helm at Pioneer Network as the organization’s new executive director. In a message to his membership, Reed remarked: “[E]ach of you, as culture change coalition members and stakeholders, recognize the importance of this movement, as well as the many challenges that persist in shaping a world that welcomes the ongoing contributions of all.”
Prior to his expected appearance at the August 1 Pioneer Network Conference in St. Charles, Missouri, Reed said he will be traveling to various long-term care settings to “learn first-hand the state of our progress to date.”
Reed described his 15 years’ experience in research, practice and policy in positions at the Center for Health Improvement, the Alzheimer’s Association Program Area and the national Quality Care Campaign.
Reed succeeds the Network’s past Executive Director, Bonnie Kantor, who is currently the director of the Ohio Department of Aging.
