Readers say… the Long-Term Living Web site is featuring a new poll every Monday. Here are the results from a recent poll:
Is your facility satisfied with its five-star rating from CMS?
Reader comments:
There appears to be no identifiable, consistent data when comparing nursing homes. When you click into the criteria, those homes with the same scores have different numbers of stars. It’s very confusing.
It does not measure any form of quality. At best it attempts to measure administrative regulatory compliance. That is fraught with subjectivity and inconsistencies.
This scoring system is outrageous! This is a typical government initiative that is flawed. The government should get out of the business of the rating system.
