Seven extraordinary senior living professionals are being honored at the 2017 Argentum annual conference this week in Nashville. The annual Hero Awards, presented by journalist Joan Lunden, recognize outstanding commitment to resident quality of life.
"The 2017 Argentum Heroes showcase the caring and committed service provided every day by professionals in senior living communities," said Argentum president and CEO James Balda.
The 2017 Argentum Heroes, who were nominated by providers, are:
Patricia Gatewood, resident care partner, Preston Place, Sherman, Texas
Tonia Gonzales, life engagement manager, Autumn Leaves of Cypresswood, Spring, Texas
Dena Lofton, director of health and wellness, Lake Howard Heights, Winter Haven, Florida
Stephanie Pollard, cottage care coordinator, Spring Arbor of Kinston, Kinston, North Carolina

Stephen Venuti, harbor care director, Plymouth Crossings, Plymouth, Massachusetts
In addition, Sharon Reynolds, executive director of The Neighborhood at Somerset in Somerset, Kentucky, was named the 2017 Argentum Senior Living Community Leadership Award.
"The commitment and dedication shown by executive directors like Sharon should serve as a reminder of why we work in senior living," Balda said. "The exceptional experience she provides for her staff, residents and family members every day truly represents the heart of senior living."
