HoverTech expands distribution in LTC market
HoverTech International and Sizewise are partnering to improve the safety and ease of patient transfers in long-term and post-acute care. HoverTech will make its entire portfolio of air-assisted lifting devices available through Sizewise’s distribution channels in the long-term care market.
“As hospital lengths of stay shorten, we know more residents will be cared for by LTCs,” said Jody Scoby, associate director of the Sizewise LTC Division. “HoverTech safe patient handling devices were the perfect strategic fit to go along with our existing product portfolio.”
HoverTech’s products enhance patient care and reduce the risk of musculoskeletal injuries to caregivers. The products reduce friction and shear that can cause skin breakdown, while also promoting patient comfort and dignity. Additionally, the LTCs benefit from reduced workplace injury, reduced workers’ compensation costs, and improved staff morale and health.
“We are pleased to expand our business partnership with Sizewise, who is a trusted partner,” said Dave Davis, HoverTech owner. “With its experience in the long-term care market and expertise in safe patient handling, Sizewise was a great fit to help bridge HoverTech products from acute care to LTCs.”
