PointClickCare launches new wound care app
PointClickCare has a new tool to help long-term post-acute care (LTPAC) providers deliver better care and mitigate risk: a skin and wound smartphone application.
The company's latest app allows providers to be image, measure, assess and document wounds in real time. The HIPAA compliant app identifies the wound’s healing progress, provides data outcomes for the electronic health record (EHR) and integrates with PointClickCare’s EHR platform.
“We understand that our customers, the leading LTPAC providers in North America, must use technology as a key part of their care services, resident and family engagement and business operations,” said Dave Wessinger, PointClickCare chief technology officer, in a press release. “We are pleased to fill this demand with solutions like the skin and wound smartphone app to help them generate better clinical outcomes and manage risk with more transparency and access to critical data.”
Swift Medical, an imaging technology and data analytics company, powers the app using Swift Wound, a wound care management system.
PointClickCare offers a portfolio of cloud-based software and services for EHR and revenue cycle management to more than 13,000 skilled nursing facilities and senior living communities.
