An extra special birthday treat
Yes, please.
We the editors can’t be objective (and maybe a little jealous) about this story. Ivena Smailes celebrated her birthday in the best possible way.
She wished for—and got—a firecracker of a 105th birthday. Talk about life goals.
“Ivena’s been with us for three years now, and got a fantastic sense of humor, just look at her party today,” says care home worker Debra Carter to The Metro. “On her bucket list this year she wanted a cake delivered by a fireman with tattoos.”
A fireman in uniform climbed through her third floor window, did a little shimmy, and gave her a Victoria sponge cake. Four other firefighters from the Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Services joined in the fun, too.
“It was great! Out of this world,” Smailes who lives at Addison Court home in Crawcrook, England, told ABC News.
For her 104th birthday, Carter says Ivena tried to get her to climb a tree. Next year, she wants to meet Prince Harry.
