Long-Term Living wins 3 ASHPE awards
We’re pleased to announce that Long-Term Living has won three awards in the 2016 American Society of Healthcare Publication Editors (ASHPE) awards competition!
The brand’s monthly Legal Landscape department won the Gold Award for Best Regular Department. Written by Alan C. Horowitz, Esq., Partner at Arnall Golden Gregory, the department takes an in-depth look at the industry’s toughest legal scenarios, including charting with a jury in mind, sexual intimacy and dementia and resident smoking policies.
Editor-in-Chief Pamela Tabar earned a Silver Award in the Best Integrated Package category for coverage of the 2015 winner of Long-Term Living's OPTIMA Award competition, A breath for life, which appeared in five segments online and as the cover story in the brand’s September/October 2015 print and digital editions. The editorial package takes a deep dive into the world of high-acuity skilled nursing care, using a two-day site visit and multiple media forms to tell the success story of hospitalization reductions.
Long-Term Living also won a Bronze Award for Best Case History for Hurricane Sandy: A lesson in survival, written by Brenda Stratton, RN, MSN, CT-1, DMAT. The article provides an intriguing view on emergency preparedness as it describes senior care facility evacuations during Hurricane Sandy, told from the perspective of the rescue center workers and caregivers.
Also winning awards in the 2016 ASHPE competition were Long-Term Living’s sister publications Behavioral Healthcare, which earned two awards, and Healthcare Informatics, which earned four awards.
Kudos to all!
