Relias Learning adds international dementia training portal
Relias Learning, Cary, N.C., has partnered with the International Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners (ICCDP) to deliver dementia training services on a global level. The deal adds an international reach to the educational tools and curricula currently enjoyed by ICCDP’s U.S.-based sister-organization, the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners (NCCDP), which has been partnered with Relias since 2011.
“This type of comprehensive education and CDP certification provides health care professionals the tools to provide compassionate and knowledgeable care to the most vulnerable people,” said Sandra Stimson, CEO and Founder of NCCDP and ICCDP, in a Relias press release.
The online dementia training portal for ICCDP includes more than 1,000 courses and features a 17-hour Alzheimer’s disease and Dementia Care curriculum that awards the healthcare professional the Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) certification upon completion.
Relias Learning offers senior care training for administrators, clinical staff and direct-care workers across care sectors, including skilled nursing, assisted living home health and rehabilitation therapy.
