Celebrate National Gerontological Nursing Week
This week (Sept 28–Oct. 2), healthcare celebrates National Gerontological Nursing Week and shines its light on the men and women dedicated to geronotological nursing. Their mission (and the theme of this year’s celebration) is to provide “Nursing Excellence for the Older Adult.”
Raise awareness of the continuous and growing need for gerontological nurses in your community. The National Gerontological Nursing Association offers materials that will help you get the word out.
Through increased opportunities and advanced training all nurses will have the tools they need to meet the psychological, medical and social needs of America’s rapidly growing senior population.
Whether you’re a resident, family member or an employer, take time this week to thank—and celebrate—the men and women who exemplify the best in geriatric nursing.
